Velvety Tomato (Crockpot) Soup

10 tomatoes
1 c. half & half
1 tsp. sea salt
3 T. sugar

Put tomatoes in crockpot and heat on high for 3 hours, stirring occasionally…just for fun, really. Once the tomatoes have burst and you have tomato sauce, turn off crockpot, transfer soup into bowl with pour spout. Cool in fridge 1/2 to 1 hour, so you don’t get burnt on the next step.

Pour in batches into the blender and puree tomatoes. Pour back into crockpot or stockpot and add remaining ingredients. Warm to desired temperature. Add parmesan cheese and croutons, if desired.
