Jolly Good Mate!

A little beer for the batter, a little for me…very little for me cause I’m a lightweight.  Look.  See.  I took a picture of it on a paper towel on top of a brown bag!  Oh well.  Despite what some of you think, I’m not a perfectionist!  My inspiration was Newcastle Brown Ale, which has a rich, full flavor, comes from England, and is the perfect beer for traditional fish ‘n chips. Pear Compote on Pie Crust Cutouts.

These little pie crust cutouts with or without compote will disappear faster than a pie. Take it from a pie eater who usually leaves the crust behind, this pie crust recipe with a sprinkling of cinnamon & sugar is simply irresistible.  Of course, you can use this foolproof recipe for your pie crust too. It’s Good.  What Is It?

I “dress up” my meat so often that my husband hardly knows whether he is eating beef, pork or chicken. I have to do it, or else I’d get sick of meat.
