My Twist on French Toast

I used Creme Brulee flavored Coffee-Mate (instead of milk and sugar) and a sliced french baguette. Add a drizzle of syrup, and top with blueberries.  C’est magnifique! Recipe follows.

Creme Brulee French Toast

1 french baguette, sliced (Kroger sells pre-sliced in bag)
4 eggs
1/2 c. Coffee-Mate Creamer- Creme Brulee Flavor
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)

Butter in stick form (for greasing pan)
Blueberries/Blueberry Syrup/Sifted Powdered Sugar for topping.

Whisk eggs until whites are well incorporated and mixture is a light yellow color.  Add creamer and spices.  Plunge first batch of bread slices into the batter and let sit while you heat your pan on medium to medium-high heat.  Butter should bubble slightly in pan as you spread it in pan. Place first dipped bread slices in pan and place next round of bread in batter while you cook the first. Lightly brown each side of all the batter dipped bread, adjusting heat and adding butter as necessary.
