Easy Does It.

Never having tried Skyline Chili, or 3-way chili, or Cincinnati-Style chili before I actually made this dish, I was hesitant. But a new, easy main dish was needed. The flavors are perfectly complimentary with nothing overpowering. Thanks to my sister for giving me this recipe! Feel free to share your recipes with me to try and share.

Cinci-Sky Chili
2 lbs. ground beef (I use sirloin or round)
2 onions (white or yellow), chopped
2 cans diced tomatoes, (14.5 oz. each)
2 cans tomato sauce, (8 oz. each)
2 cans kidney beans, (15.5 oz each)
2 T. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1/3 c. ketchup
Salt & pepper to taste
14 oz. package of spaghetti, cooked

Cook spaghetti according to package directions while preparing chili mixture.

Reserve about 1/2 cup of the chopped onions for topping, then toss the remaining onions into a large stock pot and saute in 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil for a few minutes, until slightly tender. Meanwhile, brown the ground beef in a skillet. Drain off the fat and toss into stock pot with onions. Stir in all other ingredients except cooked spaghetti. Heat chili mixture thoroughly and serve over warm, cooked spaghetti. Top with onions and a dollop of sour cream.
