A Little Wine, A Little Rump

While you busy yourself with all your other Valentine’s details, why not let the crockpot juice up your rump? As I drove the kids to school today, I heard that mint was thought to be an aphrodisiac, so I decided that definitely needed to go in the crockpot with the merlot and rosemary. No Mix, No Problem!

With Meatballs?


Chicken meatballs were a surprisingly good addition to this hearty chicken soup. The meatballs were homemade, but the dumplings were frozen in the package. The carrots, added at the end, were from a can. Overall, it was a great soup without a lot of trouble. Recipe follows… (more…)

Delicious and Satisfying.

This sandwich is so good, I might even eat it for breakfast! It is reminiscent of a gourmet delicatessen club, but way more economical. Chipotle mayonnaise, mixed greens, tomato, red onion, and a sprinkling of cheddar cheese atop deli turkey and bacon on parmesan focaccia bread is one of my most promising concoctions.
